The Association for Overseas Technical Cooperation and Sustainable Partnerships (AOTS) is an organization for human resources development mainly in overseas countries to promote technical cooperation through training, experts dispatch and other programs. Through those programs, we aim at contributing to the mutual economic growth of developing countries and Japan as well as enhancing friendly relations among those countries. The AOTS webinar "SDGs Oriented Business Innovation and Organizational Development (KROP23)" is an online seminar (webinar) for company owners, executives and managers, etc., in developing countries. This webinar is suitable for participants who wish to learn about business innovation that contributes to solving environmental and social issues, and organizational development to realize innovation, along with case studies of Japanese companies. As global-level issues such as COVID-19 pandemic and global warming pile up, not only governments and the public sector but also industries are required to contribute to solving these issues through business. The global-level challenges we are facing today are becoming more uncertain and difficult to solve with existing technologies, so we need to address them through business innovation. In this webinar, participants will learn the basics and methods of "organizational development" based on the idea that innovation is not only initiated by a few business leaders, but also by "organizations" that are strongly oriented toward innovation, and then explore new ways of doing business with the SDGs as a starting point to solve global-level problems such as environmental and social issues. The webinar will include lectures, case studies of Japanese companies and group discussion among the participants and designed to help participants to get new ideas on how to tackle organizational development in their own organizations and how to create new businesses.
